Our Purpose Statement
As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.
What is WELCA?
Our organization includes Lutheran women who gather for service, study, advocacy, fellowship and more! WELCA embraces all kinds of ministries that support our mission of mobilizing women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ. There is a place for you in Women of the ELCA.
Our Ministries
Our SVLC WELCA ministries serve both locally and globally, supporting a variety of impactful programs. Through initiatives like the ELCA World Relief, Back to School Program, and Bible studies and fellowship, we are dedicated to strengthening our community and church family. We also provide charitable services and support the congregation in numerous ways, all with a heart for spreading love and faith through service. Join us as we make a difference in the lives of others, both near and far.
How to Get Involved
Getting involved with WELCA at our church is a great way to connect with other women, grow in your faith, and serve others. To join, simply attend one of our upcoming meetings or events.
Meetings are held the second Tuesday at 4:00 pm at SVLC.
Whether you’re interested in volunteering, participating in Bible studies, or helping with service projects, there’s a place for you to make a difference.
